| Chapter 4 - Hiring A Trading Professional
Another option you may want to consider is hiring a trading professional, also known as a Broker. Trading professionals talk with you, learn your preferences and ideas, and in turn, trade for you. While this option may be safer for a new investor, it also comes with its own set of disadvantages as well. You must consider both the advantages and disadvantages when considering using a trading professional.
First, you must consider the fees involved in hiring a broker. The fee will vary from broker to broker, as they are not regulated. It would be good to research several brokers before settling on one.
Another thing you must consider is the country in which the trading professional is located. Since the Forex market follows all the major countries in the world, there will be brokers in all countries as well. There are a few things you need to remember:
1) Brokers in different countries may or may not be regulated. This means that they may or may not have rules and regulations that they must follow. This also means that you may or may not have someone to turn to if you come into contact with unfair business practices.
2) If you are considering hiring a broker from another country, you need to make sure that there will not be any language barriers. The last thing you want is a miscommunication with your broker, especially when he or she is handling your money and future. Be sure to research their entire office, including the other people working for them. In the even that you are unable to get into contact with your Broker, you do not want to have to attempt to convey your message to their native language only speaking receptionist or business partner.
3) Finally, you must consider the fact that brokers do not mean that you are guaranteed to make profits from Forex trading. While their training will help them make informed decisions for you, they are still human, and may still make mistakes. In the event that you suffer a major loss, you must remember that you did hire this Broker, and they must still be paid, no matter the outcome.
